One Perfect Day in Barcelona: Gaudí, the Gothic Quarter & the Sea

With only one day, focus on the essentials between the Eixample and the old town.     Stroll Barcelona's grandest boulevard past Gaudí's Casa Batlló and La Pedrera (Casa Milà). Even from the pavement their undulating stone and mosaic facades are unforgettable; step inside one if time allows.

    Eixample tapas

    Pause for a fast, local lunch of patatas bravas, pa amb tomàquet, and jamón at a neighborhood tapas bar. Order a caña or a vermut to eat like a barcelonés before heading into the old town.

    Barri Gòtic & Barcelona Cathedral
